The 7th Ghana Movie Awards (GMA) comes off tomorrow at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra. According to the organisers, Zylofon Media, red carpet starts from 7:30 to 8:30 pm; with the main event starting at 9:00 pm.
In addition to seeing all the A-List actors from Nigeria and Ghana, patrons will be treated to some pleasant surprises.
“The 7th edition is going to be the best organised event in the history of the Movie Awards,” said Enoch Atakorah, Head of Production at Zylofon Media.
“Although we came on board on a short notice, we plan making tomorrow’s event the best ever because it is the authentic movie awards we have in Ghana” he told Daily Graphic.
He added that the awards programme will be interlaced with comedy by humour merchants from Uganda and musicians from other African countries just to make the awards an exciting one.
He explained that, next year his outfit plans on giving cash and saloon cars to some of the winners of the award scheme.
“We intended doing that this year but we realised that would not be possible because we came on board late. However, next year will give us enough time to do that,” he said.
In all, ‘Sala’ a movie produced by Kalsoume Sinare and written and directed by Kobi Rana, bagged 15 nominations making it the highest at this year’s awards.
