Entertainment critic, Alfred Kwame Larbi has slammed former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings for describing comedian DKB as ‘boring’.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, gave a damning verdict on Ghana’s King of Comedy, DKB, after watching his Easter comedy show.
“You don’t have to be vulgar talking about women’s part, men’s part, sleeping with each other in a very daft way,” Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings said in an interview with the media. “It is was uncouth behaviour. Excuse me for saying, I wasn’t there for that kind of thing. I’m not a child.
A joke is a joke. You need to sit down and think and ask yourself, what is it that the people want, what can make them laugh and then you plan it out and come out to deliver it, she added.
However, Mr Larbie commenting on the former First Lady’s damming verdict, questioned whether she got her ticket for free. He said, ‘’Nana Konadu cannot stop someone from laughing because she does not feel like doing so. What will make someone laugh may not make her laugh.’’
Speaking on GH Entertainment, he said, Nana Konadu is an avid patron of concerts and comedy shows, and so if she has patronized an event and was unhappy, should we die for her? Did anybody ask her to go?
She went on her own volition. So you don’t expect that her verdict should be news; that is the problem of the media in this country, because the former First Lady said it, we see it as news.’’
According to him, the former First Lady should not have swiped the comedian in that manner adding: ‘’she should give us a break…You cannot always have it your way…The comedian has apologised and so we should let it go.’’
