Gospel music lovers in Kumasi are preparing for an unforgettable experience this weekend as singer, Mrs Diana Hamilton, leads a host of other gospel music stars to her annual concert dubbed “The experience with Diana Hamilton.”
This is the first time the United Kingdom-based musician is taking her concert to Kumasi after a successful show in Accra last year.
Happening at the CCB Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the three-hour session of music and worship is to provide a platform for Christians to have a fulfilling praise and worship time with their creator.
“This year, we decided to hold a show in Kumasi on Sunday, May 7, then another in Accra on Saturday, May 13. Last year after the Accra event, we received calls and messages from our friends in Kumasi asking when we would host an event there.
“This year we have the opportunity to be in Kumasi and also planning on other regions in subsequent years. “The programme is not just about singing and dancing but an encounter with God,” Mrs Hamilton told The Mirror in an interview.
“We have received several testimonies from patrons who were at our previous events and we are hopeful that there would be more this year.”
She said proceeds from the two shows would go to the Diana Hamilton Foundation, a charity organisation that supports the underprivileged in society.
Also billed to perform at the 3.00pm show are the evergreen Daughters of Glorious Jesus and KODA.
