Astute sound engineer, Da’ Hammer has added his voice to the ongoing conversation over who should be considered a deputy minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture by recommending Abraham Ohene-Djan, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ohenemedia.
His choice is on the basis that, Ohene-Djan’s expertise in all sectors of arts is highly remarkable.
“I’m sure a lot of people will agree with me that he [Ohene-Djan] is intelligent, very experienced, he is one of the pioneers of this whole thing, he really understands what we need. He is like a father to us all. He is also a fine gentleman, very distinguished personality,” he told Ghanaweb.
After President Akufo-Addo announced Catherine Ablema Afeku, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Evalue Jomoro-Gwira as minister, two names have become resounding in the race for the deputy ministerial position.
While some industry players are supporting filmmaker, Socrate Safo, others are for Kojo Antwi, a marketer.
But Hammer is of the view that Ohene-Djan is more than capable.
“I will actually trust him with the ministry itself. I think he can run the ministry proper… From the arts industry, Abraham cuts across. He’s been involved in movies, music, he’s supported this whole generation with his vast knowledge,” The Last Two boss noted.
