Ghanaian rapper and actor, OJ Blaq who was left bedridden after suffering double kidney is now active again.
The rapper who took part in the launch of the natural medicine week in Accra on Monday revealed to newsmen that some medicines he took from a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Centre of Awareness (COA) did what he described as magic for him.
According to him, the drug which was given to him by the NGO saved his life and has since helped improved upon his health.
“Apart from the grace of God, the next thing that did a miracle for me is COA drugs…trust me, COA has changed a lot of things, first I couldn’t walk but COA drugs have changed a lot of things…initially, I wasn’t a believer in traditional medicine but the COA drug has changed my perception about them,” he said.
The rapper made the headlines after pictures of him lying on sick bed were released by music producer, George Britton. He was also visited by several musicians including Obrafour.
He confirmed that he was indeed diagnosed with a kidney problem and has been on dialysis for some time now but with his lab tests improving upon taking COA drugs, the times have changed.
The traditional drugs produced by the NGO, COA have been subjected to scientific analysis by the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine (CSRPM), Akuapem Mampong and Nugochi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, Legon.
Dr. Samuel Ato Duncan who is the head of the COA, producers of the natural medicine urged Ghanaians to start patronizing herbal medicines since they have the efficacy to heal various diseases.
“There are times when some Ghanaians complain about the numerous sicknesses herbal medicines can cure but orthodox medicines also do same…I use traditional medicines as well but I properly analyse them and that is what Ghanaians must do as well”, he said.
OJ Blaq also urged the government to consider investing into herbal medicine research and production in the country.
He said he is now an ambassador for the COA drugs now upon being healed after taking the drugs. OJ Blaq is now a public campaigner for COA and its drugs.
COA was the main sponsor for the 2016 Traditional Medicine week which was held in Accra.
