Controversial musician Akoo Nana says he has moved on from doing Hiplife into doing High-life.
The hitmaker behind the groundbreaking single “Mi Yadaw”(featuring Castro), Akoo Nana had been in the headlines in recent times for turning a new leaf.
After a repentance session at the House of Life Chapel, Nungua-Accra, where he was reported to have confessed his sins and seek the face of God, Akoo Nana was captured on camera spreading the word of God to confirm the wild rumour.
The musician in an exclusive interview with 3news.com said switching from Hiplife to High-life is a clear signal of maturity. He described Hiplife as ‘cheap life’, adding that his latest High-life song dubbed ‘Amponsah’ means he has come of age.
“The message in ‘Amponsah’ is like talking about kids who are a bit stubborn and it’s aimed at advising them. “The switch to high-life is all because I am grown now and I need to do matured songs and perform with my bands.
“Switching from cheap life to high-life is a great experience I am really enjoying and learning a lot from artistes who have excelled as highlife musician”.
He was last seen in public on the red carpet at the 2015 4Syte TV Music Video Awards held at Accra International Conference Center on November 14, 2015.
