The keenly contested finale of the 2017 Miss Legon beauty pageant, which took place on Saturday, April, 1 at the University of Ghana’s Central Cafeteria saw 19-year old Vanessa Ohemeng winning the coveted crown. It was a night of beauty, intelligence and music, with 15 young ladies competing for the ultimate crown as well as the prize money.
As part of her package, she took home Ghc 2,500, a laptop and an all-paid expense trip to Dubai. Again, she gets to be the Brand Ambassador for all the 5 companies who supported the Miss Legon Beauty Pageant.
Vanessa Ohemeng, 19-year old student studying Psychology & Public Administration, emerged winner of Miss Legon, with 20-year old Benedicta Naa Ayele Tetteh, been the first runner up. She also took home cash, souvenirs and others, and 21-year old Rafiatu Fuseini of BSc Agric Science was the 2nd runner-up.
Radio and TV personality, Jay Foley & Angel Ninney were the Mcs. Judges for the finale were, Elikem Kumordzi, Naa Oye Quartey.
There were also musical performances from Medikal and some other musicians.
