Telecom giants, Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) has presented an amount of GH¢ 9000.00 and airtime credit to the Kwahu Traditional Council in support of this year’s Kwahu Easter festival.
The elders of Kwahu Paramouncy at Abetifi received 3,000 Ghana cedis and 500 Ghana cedis worth of airtime while the chiefs and elders of Obomeng, Mpraeso and Obo received 2,000 Ghana cedis and 300 Ghana cedis worth of airtime each and a hamper containing drinks as the company’s support for the Kwahu Easter festival.
Presenting the cash and other items to the chiefs and elders at Abetifi and other communities the Accra, Eastern and Volta Area Commercial Manager of MTN, Mr. David Gyimah-Boadi, said MTN had supported the Kwahu Easter festival for the past 10 years due to the social and economic benefits of the festival to the people and communities in the area.
He said in addition to the support MTN would be organizing interesting competitive entertainment and sporting event during the period to create excitement and make the festival a memorable one.
The various chiefs thanked MTN for the annual support and assistance to the Kwahu Easter festival and urged them to improve upon their services to their customers in the area.
Meanwhile, MTN has donated an amount of GH¢ 5,000.00 to the chief of Kwahu – Obomeng, Nana Effah Perming III, ahead of his coronation which will be done this Easter.
