The CEO of JUMIA , Sacha Poignonnec has stated that the company will continue to partner local businesses to help them showcase their product online.
According to him, JUMIA which is an online company is ready to partner Ghanaian firms to expand their reach.
“We are very committed to encouraging the Ghanaian designers and brands to grow and thrive, we believe that for Africa and for Ghana to grow and be even better than today we need more local entrepreneurs doing more local products building relationships with people and being successful,” he told Citi Business News.
He explained that partnering with online companies such as JUMIA would help local businesses expand.
“A lot of Ghanaian entrepreneurs have products but they don’t have so many customers. So many shops If they partner with JUMIA they can sell to the whole country and that is something we are very committed to do, because this will help businesses grow as well as give consumers across the county more choices”.
He made these comments at the sideline of the JUMIA Ghana 2017 Mobile White Paper Press Conference.
