HFC Bank Ghana, a subsidiary of Republic Financial Holdings Limited, has appointed Mr. Charles William Zwennes as the new Chairman of the bank’s Board.
This follows the resignation of Professor Joshua Alabi from the position.
“By virtue of Prof. Alabi’s resignation, The Board of Directors of the Bank, at a Board Meeting on 26th April 2017, in accordance with Bank’s Regulations appointed Mr. Charles William Zwennes as the Chairman of the Board,” a statement copied to Citi Business News said.
Mr. Zwennes is a successful lawyer in private practice and has been a member of the Board of HFC since April 2015.
The bank wished Mr. Zwennes a successful tenure in the statement.
Meanwhile, outgoing chairman, Prof. Joshua Alabi was appointed to the Board of HFC Bank in November, 2013 as a representative of SSNIT.
He was subsequently appointed as the Board Chairman of in April 2015.
Prof. Alabi took over the chairmanship at a critical time in the Bank’s history and served with distinction.
