GOIL has donated 1000 beds to the Ministry of Health
The leading oil marketing company in the country, GOIL has donated 1000 beds to the Ministry of Health to be distributed to the various regional hospitals across the country.
The beds, which are fitted with mattresses are estimated to cost GH¢1.6million.
The donation forms part of the corporate social responsibility of GOIL. The Greater Accra and Ashanti regions will get 150 beds each, upper east and upper west will get 50 beds each while other regions will receive 100 beds each.
The Group CEO and Managing Director of GOIL, Patrick Akorli said as a good corporate entity, GOIL was touched by the lack of equipment, particularly beds, at various hospitals.
He was optimistic that the donation will go a long way to ease the difficult conditions at various hospitals in the country.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Tina Mensah who received the items was hopeful that health centres would benefit tremendously and thanked GOIL for the gesture.
