Ghana’s biggest indigenous bank, GN Bank, has added another branch to its outlets bringing its number of branches to 269.
The Yesunkwa branch, which is near Elmina in the Central Region including other branches of the bank, makes it the only universal bank in the country with the largest number of branches in Ghana.
Unveiling the Yesunkwa branch, Western and Central Zonal Manager for GN Bank, Robert Mensah, said his outfit has now become a household name.
He attributed this to the bank’s orientation “as a bank for ordinary Ghanaians, entrepreneurs and big businesses.”
He assured depositors of safety of their monies, adding that the bank is there to serve Ataabaadze, Bantuma and Essaman, travellers and the industrial enclave.
Mr. Mensah also disclosed that the bank has 56 branches in the region with Elmina having three. He thanked the chiefs and people for their support.
Micro-Enterprise Manager of GN Bank, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, said the establishment of the branch is to give residents in the area their share of branches across the length and breadth of the country.
Earlier, President of Groupe Nduom (GN,) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, recounted how the bank started from a humble beginning to where it is now.
He hinted that the Nduom University will be commissioned in December with admission beginning in January 2017.
Also on his part, Chief of Elmina, Nana Kojo Conduah IV, lauded Dr. Nduom for his work and urged his people to do business with GN Bank.
