Ghana To Host Conference On International Trade

The conference is expected to be opened with a keynote address Secretary-General of UNCTAD

Rescue Shipping and Investment Agency, a Tema-based freight forwarding company, is organising Ghana’s first ever international conference on trade and finance dubbed GITFIC 2017.

The three-day event is scheduled to take place from April 10 to 12 at the plush Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The event will bring together players in the trade and finance sectors spanning across agriculture to manufacturing, insurance, construction, importers and exporters, foreign businesses and a host of others from across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

The conference is expected to be opened with a keynote address delivered by the Secretary-General of UNCTAD Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi.

The High Commissioners and respective Trade Representatives of South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria among others as well as the AGI President, CEO PEF, Customs Division’s Assistant Commissioner; Import & Export, Executive Secretary Importers & Exporters Association of Ghana, have confirmed their participation.

The conference will touch on trade opportunities for local traders from Ghana, funding opportunities among others. There will also be an exhibition of both local and international products and services.
