Busy 4G LTE, an internet service provider, has unveiled a new strategy with a focus on empowering the youth, entrepreneurs and small scale and medium enterprises.
This effort also seeks to enhance the role of Busy as the hub for the youth and budding entrepreneurs, where they can connect to the world, develop business plans and kick start their dreams.
Speaking at the re-launch of the brand, Mr Praveen Sadalage, the Chief Executive Officer of Busy, said the internet service provider is shifting its focus to one that is youth-centred and digital, by introducing mobile digital platforms such as My Busy Mobile App, an interactive platform that allowed customers to track and control their data usage.
He said there is also the web self-care platform, which allowed customers to interact with Busy on their laptops or desktops.
“When we launched our three-pronged youth strategy with the unveiling of our JUMP platform at the end of last month, it was to signify our intentions to operate in a space where most of Ghana’s population is; and to offer them an incredible access to materials that will ensure professional and individual growth- this strategic shift further accentuates our commitment,” Mr Sadalage said.
Mr George Andah, Deputy Communications Minister, who relaunched the new Busy brand, urged the internet service provider to lead the way in delivering affordable and reliable data for all population segments with emphasis placed on the youth segment.
“Our young ones need data for their studies and businesses; but do not have the financial wherewithal and government is in the process of ensuring that some of the factors that tend to slow down the growth of businesses like data are permanently resolved”, he said.
He said government would continue to invest in the telecom industry to enable businesses to thrive, adding that there is a huge potential in the sector and urged investors and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the prevailing situation.
